Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is about much more than simply relieving back and neck pain. A chiropractic physician will diagnose, treat and prevent injuries and disorders of the nerves, muscles and bones. While a chiropractor will diagnose and treat these resultant injuries and disorders, the main objective of the chiropractor is the removal of nerve interference allowing the body to heal itself without invasive procedures and/or drugs.

Your spine, which consists of 24 vertebrae, serves both to support your musculoskeletal system and to protect your nervous system (the spinal cord, including the spinal nerves). In fact, your nervous system controls every aspect of your body. Your brain sends information down your spinal cord and out your spinal nerves to every organ, system and appendage to your body. Therefore, it only makes sense that it is necessary to have your spine in proper alignment in order for your nervous system to function optimally, have full range of motion and for you to be as healthy and pain free as possible.

Subluxations are misalignments on your vertebrae which put pressure on your joints which affect your nervous system and can limit your normal spinal motion and function. Most people are not aware that the cause of their condition may be due to an imbalance in their musculoskeletal and nervous system.

Adjustments or Manipulation consists of the use of gentle directional force to move stuck or subluxated (misaligned) vertebrae or joints back to their normal position, relieving pressure on the nerve and allowing the body to receive the energy and signals needed to heal itself.

Chiropractic care emphasizes on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous system. When you move better, you feel better. Our patients at Centers for Pain Control will receive a thorough consultation including history and examination of their major complaint. After considering possible causes of the patients’ condition a diagnosis is established and a treatment plan is created. Our center is unique. Should a patient require treatment outside the scope of chiropractic care then they are referred to the other medical specialists in our center.

Nearly all insurance companies include coverage for chiropractic care in our office.
